Plymouth’s ninth Social Enterprise City Festival included a workshop session on doing business with Local Councils. This was hosted at the Millfields Trusts’ Creykes Court building and was facilitated by a talented team from Devon County Council. I took part in support of Food Plymouth’s transforming catering & procurement work. I was impressed by the opportunities for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and social enterprises to compete for Council work on a level playing field outlined at the session.
