Please keep a look out for the Food Plymouth stand at community events across the city throughout the summer. The first will be at the Freedom Fields Festival on Sunday 2nd June. Come and say hello and check out the Food Plymouth projects, including the Growing Community Abundance project with our map of community gardens and community orchards |
|
We will also have a guided tour of the impressive community garden at Freedom Fields and the wildflower areas.
The following Sunday we will be at the Poole Farm Open Day. This event is fully booked which shows that local people want to find out more about Plymouth’s city farm! The date is 9th June, which is Open Farm Sunday, so many farms will be open that day.At each of these events we will be having a Food Plymouth ‘Bring and Buy’ table. So, if you are overwhelmed with pumpkin seedlings or an embarrassment of kale or rhubarb, please bring them along so we can share the abundance! In addition, local jams, chutney, apple juice and plants will be on offer.
Food Plymouth will be at many more community events throughout the Summer – Please watch this e-bulletin and Food Plymouth’s social media for further information.
