To help you get started come to the seed, seedlings and plant swaps with #GrowingResilience team. We have some seeds gifted from Vital Seeds - a local seed growers from Buckfastleigh.

Please bring any spare seeds, seedlings and plant along but if you are just starting out and don't have any to share, we will have plenty on offer to help you get growing!

Saturday 8th April at the Plymouth Eco Market Market at Devonport Guildhall - the #growingreslience team will be outside on the steps with seed growing activities and lots of plants to help you get started!

Also look out for the #goodtogrow events across the city between 21st and 24th April - this includes....

This week, we’re going to be shining a light on the housing crisis facing the UK and what we and our partners are doing to help tackle it here in Plymouth.

Each day, we’ll focus on a different aspect of the issue, the steps we’re taking to help people and the work we’re doing to address the causes.

Clearly the most visible form of homelessness, the thing that most people conjure in their minds when they think of the issue, is rough sleeping.

Rough sleeping is a very complex issue and while just one person sleeping rough is one person too many, it actually accounts for a small minority of people classed as homeless.

Good to Grow weekend - April 21st to April 24th
Celebrating community growing with Good to Grow, a national network, run by Sustain. (It used to be called the Big Dig)

On Friday 21st Gardening At Routeways Dpac is opening their gates to welcome more people from the local community to come and find out what they do there!

On Saturday 22nd April - there is a #GrowingResilience Seed, Seedling, Plant Swap event at the Market Hall in Devonport. Including the #GrowingWithNature network with #GreenMindsPlymouth. There will be films in the immersive dome celebrating Green Minds work in the city and celebrating #EarthDay

At the moment there are only three community gardens signed up to Good to Grow and there are so many more community gardens across the city.
