Leading on Promoting healthy and Sustainable food to the public, Tami Skelton shares with us what Food Is Fun have been up to so far this year and what to look out for in the coming months.
It’s been an exciting start to the year as we’ve really hit 2019 running. As well as delivering our Pick and Mix Enrichment Programme to primary schools, we’ve been busy working in partnership with Barnardos, Plymouth Community Homes and Men’s Shed to deliver an exciting new intergenerational project. Running out of Poole Farm, recipients are having a great time planting seeds, looking after animals, learning about the farm, and of course cooking their own lunch.
We’re always being asked for tips and advice on feeding a family, so with that in mind we have an exciting new workshop available to parents/carers of children under 5.

Delivered by our registered nutritionist, parents will learn the best way to meet the nutritional needs of their child for optimum health. Watch this space for information on Food is Fun’s future food and nutrition workshops and cooking courses ..
