Hungry for Change: A briefing from Lord Krebs on the report from the House of Lords Select Committee on Food, Poverty, Health and the Environment
Webinar
08/07/2020 09:30 –10:15
During this briefing, Lord Krebs will discuss the findings of his committee’s year-long inquiry into the challenges facing our food system. It will be an opportunity to discuss the committee’s report, ‘Hungry for Change: Fixing the Failures in Food’, which is due to be published on 6 July.
The report will prove essential reading as we grapple with the challenges facing our food system coming out of the coronavirus pandemic, and as conversation on the National Food Strategy progresses over the course of this year.
Jo Gideon MP and Kathleen Kerridge will bring their own unique perspectives to the conversation – Jo of local governance and community engagement in her constituency in Stoke-on-Trent, and Kathleen having campaigned on and experienced food poverty first-hand.
This will be the first in a series of online briefing events hosted by the Food Foundation exploring issues and opportunities for our food system in the run-up to publication of the National Food Strategy.
