Appointment of new Food Equality Champion
Lisa Howard
Following the success of our Food Power bid, and the hard work behind the scenes of the Food Equality alliance steering group (Clare Pettinger, Sarah Ogilvie, Chris Forster, Darin Halifax, Paul Elliot and Brad Pearce), we are very pleased to announce that we have just appointed our new Food Equality project coordinator, who will be leading the delivery of our food poverty agenda, starting with running a series of workshops with ‘experts by experience’ over the next few months.
We would like to introduce you to Lisa Howard, who will be filling this role:
Lisa is researcher based in Plymouth, working on various evaluation and community research projects, including Active Neighbourhoods and Clarion Regeneration and The Island Stories Social History Project. Lisa has been successfully delivering social history projects and evaluation work for Plymouth based media social enterprise Fotonow CIC using a range of innovative approaches to support a range of social and creative outcomes for participants and organisations. Lisa has also worked for School for Social Entrepreneurs Dartington and Paul Hamlyn Foundation.
We are thrilled to have Lisa’s expertise joining the team to lead on this important work. We look forward to working with Lisa over the coming months and beyond, to consolidate our food poverty action plan and our work towards achieving the Silver Sustainable Food Cities (SFC) award.
