Friends of Devonport Park are a voluntary community group in Plymouth, dedicated to the conservation of Devonport Park in Plymouth and also organise community events in the park and always welcome new members. They are very pleased to announce that they have been awarded a grant of £7150.00 from the Big Lottery, Awards for All (England), Community Fund and are using this grant for our “Pop up Allotments” project in Devonport Park. This will see the creation of 8 purpose built raised planters which will be available for community use to encourage fruit & vegetable growing. Help and advice will be provided by the FDP’s own voluntary gardening team and their retained horticultural consultant, Dennis Trewin Dip.Hort (Kew), RHS.
