Fresh Fruit and Vegetables are coming to Whitleigh!
FoodSEqual joined the Feast of Fun at the Salvation Army Hall in Whitleigh. We had a lot of fun with vegetables; we had a winner for guessing the weight of the pumpkin, made zines and Fotonow CIC were on hand to help with animating carrots and oranges! Check out these fab animations below…
We were there to launch the Fresh Street Community initiative, which is bringing fresh fruit and vegetables to Whitleigh, starting in November 2023 and running until December 2024. The Fresh Street Community Research team will be at the Salvation Army Hall fortnightly, taking orders and deliveries of fresh fruit and vegetables and holding regular fun and informative activities, a bit like these ones. This event was made possible with a grant from ESRC Festival of Social Sciences, University of Plymouth.
