Following the success of their August challenge, the foodbank are asking donors to ‘think big’. They have created a donation calendar enabling anyone wanting to participate to tick off an item a day that they want to donate through the month of October, resulting in a well varied box of donations at the end of the month. I think this is a wonderful idea and will certainly help them stock the shelves with items which may well be in higher demand in the coming colder months. You can also take a look at their Facebook page to keep up with any other special donation requests they may have as well as opening hours and foodbank locations.
