The Sustainable Food Cities (SFC) Network is conducting a consultation exercise on the theme of ‘What Next?’ For the national SFC programme. This is a review and reflective practice exercise, drawing learning and informative experiences from the highs and lows of the Sustainable Food Cities programme phases 1 and 2 and looking forwards to how this can be applied in prevailing and predicted future conditions to the aspired-to SFC Phase 3.
I recently had the privilege and responsibility of representing Food Plymouth at one of the regional workshops which were part of this exercise. The workshop took place in Bristol and was facilitated by Ben Messer of the national SFC team, supported by his colleagues Sarah Davies and Alizee Marceau. The session was energetic and far-reaching and I greatly enjoyed working with representatives of fellow Local Food Partnerships from The Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff, Bristol and Exeter.
