Livewell Southwest know the importance of good health and wellbeing, and not just that of their patients. The Livewell staff are supported and encouraged to consider their own health and wellbeing too. #MeatFreeMonday is an opportunity for meat-eating Livewell staff to take the day off, well, not literally!
Andrew Pratt, Health Improvement Specialist, and his team will be looking at new and exciting way to promote delicious and healthy vegetarian and vegan meals to the staff.
One You Plymouth are supporting a new campaign aimed at improving health, saving money and helping to reduce our carbon footprint all by having one meat free day a week.
Between April and June 2019, we are all being encouraged to take part in the ‘Meat Free Monday’ initiative to discover how cutting down on your meat intake, even just one day a week, can make a world of difference. Inspired by the national ‘Meat Free Monday’ campaign, One You Plymouth have been looking at ways they can motivate Plymouth to achieve a healthier lifestyle. Andrew Pratt, Specialist Health Improvement Practitioner at One You Plymouth, who is behind the campaign, said: “We’re really encouraging Plymouth residents to get behind the idea of reducing the amount of meat they eat and supporting Meat Free Mondays is a great place to start. We hope people feel inspired to take part in the campaign and we’ll be asking for you to please spread the word, and share with us your photos, comments and recipes, via the One You Facebook page using the hashtag #MeatFreeMondays”
